MEET OUR TEAM
Lisa Arnott is the founder and Director of SilverHub Jewellery School and Studios. She is the principal lecturer.
She is also a graduate of Edinburgh College of Art and has MA (distinction) in Design from Sheffield Hallum University and is working towards her MFA. As a jeweller, Lisa’s practice focuses towards exhibitions, commissions and research projects. Her jewellery has been exhibited in Australia and throughout the UK including the Open Eye Gallery and Visual Arts Scotland. She has over 15 years’ experience as a designer and has taught within adult education, further education, community based learning and is passionate about enabling people to discover their creativity through the medium of design. Lisa holds a PGCE from Heriot Watt University and has certificates in First Aid and Mental Health First Aid.
Jessica Howarth is our principal lecturer at SilverHub Jewellery School.
Jessica studied Jewellery and Metal Design at Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art and a design graduating with a 1st Class BDes ( Hons) in 2011. She is currently working towards her Masters in Education at the University of Glasgow. Jessica has exhibited both locally and nationally. She has received a number of awards including the Visual Artists and Craft Makers Award. Jessica has certificates in First Aid and Mental Health First Aid.
Carolyn Kinnaird is a tutor at SilverHub Jewellery School and graduated from Edinburgh College of Art in 2011 with a BA in Design and Applied Arts.
She has since spent time travelling around the world and has just recently returned from Melbourne, Australia where she held a residency at NorthCity4 studios and was an assistant to Melbourne based jewellery designer Vicky Mason.
